Birthday Parties

From September 16 to October 4, our team celebrates four...yes FOUR birthdays. We had three birthday parties within that time, and it sure was fun. For Ella’s 6th birthday, we introduced the team to Buffalo Wild Wings. Asher surprised us all by trying one of the hottest flavored wings. We thought he wasn’t going to like it, but then he quickly asked for another one!

The team played a game of Pictionary, and we WOWed each other with our artistic abilities. There were many laughs at our drawing attempts. Bree and I celebrated our birthday with a fruit pizza birthday cake. Asher finished up our string of birthdays, and he requested pancakes for his party. We all enjoyed pumpkin pancakes, and the whole team wore Captain America masks for the meal.  The team all participated in a Hide-and-Seek in the Dark in the church that we were parked at. It was quite intense…even for the adults!

During each party, we gave presents, played games, and ate a lot of food. But for each person, we took time to give the gift of words. What a blessing to recount reasons that we love the Birthday Person! Birthdays are a special time when we can build people up with how much we love and appreciate them. I am always reminded when we have birthdays that I should do this on non-birthday party days. Words are so powerful and can be beautiful gifts!

We’re looking forward to March and April when we’ll celebrate Jason’s, Seth’s and Becca’s birthday. Stay tuned to see what craziness will occur…
