Snow Day!

Due to the heavy snowstorm all over the south, Aaron called an emergency ministry team meeting. He told us that our regularly scheduled meeting would have to be postponed to deal with this crisis – a nice dusting of snow covering Fairview Baptist Church and the surrounding areas. Our immediate action was required. We all suited up and joined Pastor Alex and Anna Newton along with a few other church children to tackle the only decent hill on Fairview Baptist’s church grounds on any sled we could find!

Maybe that is a little dramatic, but our team had so much fun on the fresh snow falling all day Tuesday. Those not from the south had a few things to say about southerners and their apocalyptic snowstorm, but we all enjoyed the unexpected flurries. We had a couple hours of decent sledding down the biggest hill we could find. The guys went to the trailer for some hot chocolate and warm fellowship before dinner.

Aaron, Steph and the kids had a late-night snow adventure in the church parking lot. Aaron blew up some inner tubes and wildly pushed Ella and Asher down the hill. They even got Stephanie to go down with a kid or two. To end out the craziness, Aaron tied up a tube to the back of the team van and gave the kids a snow tube ride that they’ll never forget! All in all, a great Southern snow day for a team ready to conquer the “white dust.”
