Week Off - Rocky Mount, NC

After two months of local church meetings, our team/family had a week back home in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to spend some time with family and work on some ministry projects. Sunday we made our way to Community Baptist Church in Garner, North Carolina for the day. Pastor Mike Knight and the people at the church were a blessing to serve with. We enjoyed fellowshipping around the Word and worshipping together. It was encouraging to hear of God’s work in the church and what He is doing through them in their community.

Aaron’s parents, Bill and Sheila Coffey, were gracious hosts for our team, and we loved staying in their home. We had plans to have an Irish concert at a church in the area and a Family Fun night at the Coffey’s sending church, but God sent another wave of snow showers and ice to the south that cancelled our scheduled outreaches. Even though we were disappointed to not be able to serve in those churches, we enjoyed a day of snow tubing and sledding in some pretty slushy snow. The kids loved it…and so did we!
