It was a blessing to be back at Berea! We had the privilege of partnering with them last year, and it’s always a joy to be back at a church in such a short time. We started our time off together on Sunday morning when the whole church met for a delicious breakfast before the morning worship service. We were thankful for the opportunity to spend in fellowship with many of the church.

The rest of the week we were with Berea’s Christian school each morning. Since the high school was made up of all girls, each of our team girls got to speak about what God was doing in their lives. Being with this older group of girls was so fun for us as we spent lots of quality time together – canvassing for Cola War, eating lunches together, and just spending time together after school or before/after services.

Each night the children, teens and adults all met for a pre-session service before the evening service. The teens used this time to talk about the importance of being bold in their service of Christ. These teens really took it to heart when we went out canvassing. Students who attend the public school and go to Berea were burdened to invite their peers, and as a result, God brought many visitors to our Cola War on Thursday.

On Friday night, we ended our time with Berea with an Irish Concert! We were thankful for God’s working in the church. God was doing a special work throughout the week. A lady who had attended several services throughout the week trusted Christ!  There was also a man who was contemplating suicide and came to the church to get some help. After he heard the good news of Jesus, he turned from his sins and trusted in Christ’s gift of salvation. We know that God directed him to hear the truth of the Gospel—and it was a privilege to tell the message of hope not just this man, but many throughout the week. We know God is the one at work in these churches, and we are humbled to be a small part of what He is doing for His glory!
