We praise the Lord for the work He did during our week of meetings at Dayton Center Church in Silverwood, Michigan. Our team was busy throughout the week! We had a pre-session, a time where we get together with the children, teens and adults before the service for a little extra teaching and prayer. There was a great turn out throughout the whole week. The faithfulness of Dayton Center to run vans throughout their area to pick up teens and children was such a great encouragement to us.
After a solid start, our numbers continued to grow over the course of the week. The teens began their Cola War on Sunday during the pre-sessions, getting to compete a bit in some games then listening to a short challenge by Jason. Our children’s pre-session was full of excited kids. Becca taught them about the character of God. Aaron led the adults in a time of prayer for revival and new souls to be reached by the Spirit’s power during the services and to continue to work after our week of meetings.
Thursday began the actual Cola War outreach event. We were so pleased to have over thirty teens show up to compete and stay for the preaching of God’s Word. Praise God for the teens that responded – there were two salvations and many teens that went to ask questions after the service. The children were also very attentive to the messages. Many children went back after the service to ask some questions and seek clarity. There was even one decision to follow Christ and accept Him as Savior!
The Irish concert was full on Friday. We loved seeing two solid rows of children and three rows of teens come during the week to listen to the Word. We pray that God would continue to work in the lives of those who heard the Word and that He would continue to build Dayton Center Church for His glory.
