![]() We had a wonderful time of ministry again with Pastor John Winders, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Linton, IN. We had a fruitful week of meetings that climaxed with a Good Friday service remembering the Lord’s death and celebrating His resurrection. ![]() Sunday morning was a special service with a baptism after the preaching. The Bible clearly teaches that baptism is an act of obedience to Christ, a public testimony to the world that that person is identifying themselves with Jesus Christ and submitting to His rule over their life. It is a public declaration of their belief in Jesus Christ alone as a means to salvation, “not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephes 2:8-9). The rest of the week, Aaron preached and the team did music and children’s program during the services. Wednesday night was a family fun night. We always love seeing a church laugh together! The kids also showed the parents what they learned in kids program with the verse (John 8:12), the Gospel Codes (sin, selfishness, salvation, sacrifice, and service), the Gospel Song, and the LIGHT International Theme Song. Thursday, we had our Irish Concert and had Pastor John come up and play the spoons with us for Boil ‘Em Cabbage Down. He was hilarious and did an awesome job! Friday night, we took time together remembering the death of Christ and the incredible weight of our sin that was laid on His shoulders that day. It was very sobering to remember how sinful we all are, yet God chose to love us and give His only Son to die for us. After the service, the church set out LOTS of Easter eggs for all the kids to find. It’s a unique way the church brings in people from the community each year. There were lots of fun things the team got to do this week in addition to the normal services and events. Tuesday through Thursday, Brad Wiggs came back to be with the team for some music help as we prepare for a recording and just to hang out with us. It was so good having him back and hearing how God is using him in the ministry he serves with in Findlay, OH. The Coffey kids loved playing with the Winders kids all week long. On Friday morning, Stephen and the Coffeys met up with a family from the church and went fishing. While they were out, they found some morel mushrooms (a rare edible kind of mushroom) so the family cooked up all the fish that were caught as well as the mushrooms they found. They were delicious! It was a great way to spend the morning off! We loved our time at Fellowship Baptist Church and look forward to being back again in the future! Until then, we pray God continues to bless the ministry there in Linton, IN. For pictures from the week, check out our Facebook page!
