Becca lives in Canton, Georgia (north of Atlanta). She is our team secretary, website manager and photographer. She helps with our music ministry by singing soprano and playing the guitar and mandolin. Becca loves sushi, hiking, and would love to serve as a missionary someday. God continues to graciously work in Becca while traveling on the road.
"I look back at who I was in different stages of life and cannot help but give God glory for how much He has changed me. God has been so gracious to make me more like Him and He continues to do so. As I travel another year, I know that He will continue to challenge and grow me so that I can truly say, 'Christ is my life.'"
Julia is a missionary kid from Singapore and Taiwan and has played violin and piano for 16 years. She graduated from Bob Jones University with an undergraduate degree in International Business with the desire to serve in local churches with her music and business skills. She serves on the team as an assistant to Stephanie and manager of the Coffey Ministries resource table. She loves hiking, kayaking, photography and just about anything outdoors that includes physical activity.
"Whether stretching musical skills or the ability to jump into any ministry situation with a heart open and ready to serve, I have repeatedly seen God working to equip and enable me to do what is asked. I am looking forward to learning more about my God throughout the fall semester and daily being forced to rely upon Him alone for the strength to do what is at hand."
Brianna is from the North...way North. She lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada. Since she's Canadian, of course she has a pet polar bear, lives in an igloo, and has a team of dogs that takes her everywhere. We are thankful to have her assist Seth with our music ministry, as well as help us with various responsibilities. She also gives music lessons to our children. Bree loves to be outside and enjoys anything with pumpkin in it. Traveling on the road has been an exciting ministry experience for her.
"I see God growing me and pushing me out of my comfort zone. I am thankful to meet new people, minister to different churches, and see the church body from a larger perspective."
Lala had the wonderful privilege of traveling with the Coffey family for one semester. She had worked many summers together at camp and she had just finished her undergrad before joining them on the road. After traveling, Lala was accepted into the graduate program at the University of South Carolina to study Speech Pathology. She is currently finishing her last year in the program as well as working as a nanny.
"Being the only team member, I grew very close to their family. God used these close, transparent relationships to grow me in many ways. I learned from Stephanie and Aaron as they loved me, interacted with each other, discipled their kids, and served churches."
Brad is from Huntsville, Alabama and graduated with a degree in Church Music. He is helping us with singing, playing various instruments, and overseeing the sound system. He is also in charge of our children’s program (“The Amazing Grace Race”). Brad loves to travel, lead choirs, and is a fan of all Washington D.C. sports teams. He is excited about what God has in store for him as he serves.
“Throughout my life, I have clearly seen God at work. He plans all things for our good and His glory. If something is going on in my life that I don’t understand, I can trust in God’s sovereignty. I’m thankful I serve a faithful, loving God. I’m eager to see what God will do this year as I travel and serve.”
Jason is the non-Southerner of the group, hailing from Aurora, Colorado. He serves as Aaron’s assistant, helping with various team responsibilities, but mainly working with the teen ministry and assisting with music. Jason enjoys playing soccer, backpacking in the mountains, and adventuring wherever he is. He is anticipating God to continue to grow him as he serves with us.
"Traveling on the Coffey team has challenged me in so many different areas. I'm constantly being pushed out of my comfort zone, but that's exactly what I need. I appreciate Aaron's example of leadership on the team, not shying away from the pressures that come along, but embracing them and growing through them. I'm looking forward to what God continues to teach me."
Seth is from Silver Lake, WI. He graduated with a music degree and organizes our music ministry. He is helping us with singing, arranging, and playing various instruments. Seth is also heading up our new children’s program (“The Secret Keepers”), and overseeing the sound system. He hates wearing shoes, enjoys macaroni and cheese, and wants to marry Deanna Rodman.
"I'm enjoying the road because I get to see children and adults make decisions for Christ that will affect them forever! It's great to hear and see the stories of people who Christ is at work in. I also love traveling in our team van on the weekends - sharing stories, talking through how God is at work, praying together, listening to stories."
