Pastor Scott Estell and Faithway Baptist Church of Ypsilanti, MI were a joy to serve with a few weeks ago. It was a blessing to see so many people come back each night. Sunday night after the service, we had a church-wide game night. Pastor had each of the team members tell a little about themselves. It was a great time of fellowship and connecting with church folks. Thursday night, the church pulled out a giant giraffe bounce house for the kids for Family Fun Night. It was hilarious to see people of all ages involved in the Tic Tac Challenge and other activities of the night. The church needs to have fun together! Friday night closed out the week with a teen activity and open gym. The team enjoyed playing 9-square in the air, dodge ball, tube tug, basketball, and other games with the teens. Every week, the church has an open gym night as an outreach into their community. Several of the guys came and played basketball for a few hours after the teen activity. It was a great opportunity for us to connect with people over sports and activities. We were encouraged to see God opening eyes and softening hearts toward His Word.
We were thrilled to see the work God did at Faithway Baptist in Ypsilanti and are excited to see how God continues to build His church and grow His people. Philippians 1:6 reminds us that God is continually in the process of changing us all into the image of God, and we were thankful to be a tool in His hands. Please pray for Faithway and the Ypsilanti area. Visit our Facebook page to see the faces and activities of the week.
