Thank you so much for your following and praying for us/our ministry over the years. This is a long overdue update from our last one, as we have been in an unique season full of “unknowns” and have found it very difficult to even know how to communicate what’s next. We ourselves are walking by faith and continuing to wait on the Lord. I want to address our current plans regarding Stephanie’s heart attack and how God is continuing to guide and use Coffey Ministries in the midst of being reshaped a bit for this season.
God has done amazing things in and through Steph’s health situation, and we praise Him for the good things that have come from it. Looking back over 2024, we have experienced the grace of God and see how He has been changing us in some big and needed ways as a family! We sat tight here in Michigan which allowed Stephanie to recuperate at home and be close to her cardiologist. This also allowed her to finish her cardiac rehab here in Michigan. She has continued taking all of the medications that she began in the hospital back last December, and she will be going in for another appointment soon to see where things are at. Hopefully at that appointment, the cardiologist will give us a good report of how her heart is doing and help us know how to move forward with her health. This past spring the Lord provided the opportunity for our children to attend the Christian school associated with our church, Inter-City Baptist. It has been a wonderful context to learn and grow! They have adapted well and have enjoyed having consistent relationships and participating in sports and other extracurricular activities. We feel that it would be best for our family to stay here in Michigan through the 2024-2025 school year to 1) allow our kids to finish out the school year, and 2) give Stephanie adequate time to improve as she continues with all of her cardiac medications (which the doctors have said would continue at least through next summer). We praise God for how He has continued to strengthen her and help her recovery… it has truly been a blessing to see God’s hand at work! As for Coffey Ministries, we are definitely in a different phase than ever before. I am continuing to travel and preach as I am able, but I am doing so without my family or team. This has been very hard for me personally, but God has allowed me to still be out ministering to churches enough to help keep Coffey Ministries afloat. One of the biggest questions that we have heard from people is whether or not we would be able to continue producing music. We are so thankful that God allowed us to produce a music project this past spring about trusting God in the midst of our trials..head to our profile to listen to Hope in the Valley. This was a project that we had started prior to Stephanie’s heart attack and were able to finish and release it in the spring. It was amazing to see God’s timing as every song took on a whole new depth of meaning for us, as we walked through our own valley with Steph’s health trials. God has allowed us to continue to produce music, and we are actually releasing a new song about the beauty of being a part of the Church, the body and bride of Christ. We are One (In the Father’s Love)…will be available for streaming the week of Thanksgiving. We are also working on a new project that we are hoping to release next spring. I am really excited about this new recording, as it will feature songs focusing on different aspects of the Gospel…stay tuned! We will be releasing that, Lord willing, in the spring/summer. Please pray that God will enable us to continue our music ministry to the churches that God has graciously allowed us to serve for His glory! Thank you so much for your continued prayers. Please pray that God would give us clarity and direction as we walk by faith in this unique season of our ministry.

Let me start off by saying that God is good! I read all of your updates and my family will continue to pray for you guys. I too had a scare in March of 2023 and ended up having to have a defibrillator implanted in my chest because of some heart rhythm issues. It was very stressful but we trusted God to get us through. December of 2023 I had a very trying time as the medicine that I was on stopped working. My defibrillator went off a total of 18 times before I got to the hospital. Probably one of the scariest things I have ever experienced, even worse than my cancer in 2014.
