Wayside Chapel (Bucyrus, OH)

This past week at Wayside Chapel in Bucyrus, Ohio was probably one of the most packed weeks we have had this spring semester. To start off the week, we had a wonderful Sunday morning service and followed it afterwards with a lunch fellowship.

Aaron, Brad and Matt had several opportunities to preach to the teens and children during the week. We loved spending time with these students, hearing about how God was teaching them and what He was doing in their lives. On Wednesday, God opened the door for our crew and a few teens to get into the public school. We went into the cafeteria passing out fliers for Thursday’s Cola War to almost every single teen in the school! We have not had a chance like that in a very long time. We also praise God in seeing the youth pastor, Stephen get into the school to start a relationship with the principal, offering counseling and help in any other way. What a working of God!
 
Pre-sessions throughout the week grew and grew until Thursday’s Cola War. Wednesday evening we had so many teens and children for the children’s program we were bursting at the seams! The children loved the Amazing Grace Race so much, they were bringing all of their friends to the program. It wasn’t too long before the kids reached their goal to put a shaving cream pie on Mr. Brad’s head. And they reached it twice!
 
Cola War on Thursday had a great turn out. We had such a profitable time canvassing, we were excited to see who God would bring out to the event. There was a great group of teens with some guests from the community – a lively bunch that loved to have fun and play hard. We filled up at least 6 rows in the front of the church and during the invitation, two guys raised their hands with questions about their salvation. Praise the Lord!
 
After finishing up our time at Wayside Chapel, we packed up and headed out to Indiana to Trinity Baptist Church in Westfield for our Easter Sunday service. We can hardly express how encouraging these services were and especially with this group of believers. For the third time this year, we were able to worship together the life, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus. He brings us together like nothing else in this world. We are thankful now to start our Spring Break and catch up on some much needed sleep, anticipating the last leg of our semester together.
