He has risen! We were blessed to be able to spend our Easter Sunday with the people in First Baptist Mishawaka. Singing praises to our Lord with them lifted our spirits for the week of ministry. During the pre-sessions, Aaron prayed with the adults, Becca taught about the Trinity with the children, and Jason, Seth and Bree all met with the teens.
Even though we did not have nightly meetings this past week, we stayed busy as a team throughout the week! On Sunday, April 13, we had the privilege of serving Maranatha Baptist Church in Clarkston, Michigan for both the morning and evening services. It was a blessing to gather around the Word with this church, and we enjoyed the opportunity to fellowship with Pastor Glenn Currie and his assistant pastor Joey McNally and their families.
It was a joy to serve at Independent Baptist Church in Bolingbrook, Illinois. We enjoyed the fellowship with Pastor Shoaf and the people of the church. They welcomed our team, and we enjoyed staying long after the service to talk. There were many who opened themselves up to us in individual conversations, and we appreciated their desire to share what God was doing in their lives.
Lifeway Baptist Church is a church that we’ve been at many times before, and we were looking forward to serving with them again. The services concentrated on different aspects of family life and how the Gospel affects how we can live with others around us. The highlight of the week was Aaron’s message on James 4 on Wednesday night. There were many testimonies of what God was doing in hearts as they were exposed to the truth of the Word!
To say our week at Calvary Baptist Church in Findlay, Ohio was the busiest week of our semester so far would be an understatement! The week was full of so many opportunities for us serve the people of Calvary Baptist. Last fall spent our team training at their church as well as helped out their Christian school retreat at the start of their school year. What a privilege to be back with this church again!
