COVID and the Providence of God

 ​Amid the unpredictably of plans that the pandemic imposed on many of us the Lord providentially used COVID in my decision in agreeing to travel with Coffey Ministries as their music manager in the Fall of 2020. I continue to serve in that role presently in Spring 2023.When tasked to write about my time with Coffey Ministries I have to recognize that, even from the very beginning of my story, and the few thing I have written here, providence describes all that God does.

One very kind gift of the Lord is the ability to use and develop skills. Being music manager has been a true joy for me, yet one of my favorite privileges on team is being able to teach kids the gospel. Developing and praying over lessons has been transformative for me.​ ​Another kind gift from the Lord in His providence a better view of my sin and grow in my understanding of the gospel.

​The influence of team members as well as the literal closeness to them is both a blessing and a conflict generator. Though we are obliged to resolve the issues, it really is a grace of the Lord to reveal the true desires of the heart; and very often the Lord uses the team in speaking truth to correct my own sinful desires and actions. In my first year I never really could understand nor fully appreciate what God was (and still is) teaching me, through these times but these few examples give testament that God's providence is for our good and for His glory.
 
​There are only a few short weeks left in my time with Coffey Ministries and current plans have brought me to Detroit, MI for the coming years. In whatever God provides in the future, it will be good and with that I will be content. 
 
Come near restless heart; find peace without fear
Your God has not failed and He's brought you hear
Each undone endeavor and turn on the way
Is perfectly place in the pathway he lays
