Lakewood Baptist Church Pewaukee, WI Our week of ministry at Lakewood Baptist Church began over the weekend while we were still in Waupaca. Steph Coffey went early and spoke at the Ladies’ Retreat that Lakewood hosted. The theme of the conference was “Come to Jesus”, and it was a joy to be in the Word with the Lakewood ladies. Having connections with the women before the next week began made time at Lakewood extra special for Steph. On Sunday morning, we did two different services. God is growing Lakewood, and their auditorium can’t seat all of their members at the same time. It thrilled our hearts to see how this church has outgrown their building again and has begun a new addition! We loved being able to worship in both of these services. Monday night was a men’s night. They enjoyed a steak dinner, and Aaron preached on Romans 6. There were a lot more men that came out than expected and several indicated that they had turned to Christ for salvation!

First Baptist Church Waupaca, WI After being in Minnesota for several weeks, we made our way to the state of Wisconsin. The first church we were at was First Baptist Church of Waupaca. Throughout the week we had regular services in the evening. Several nights before the service, we had teen pre-sessions which included playing a game and a challenge from God’s Word. We had an Irish Concert on Wednesday night, and many guests came out! We also had several opportunities this week to be involved and connect with the kids in the Christian school. A couple of mornings, Mike and Phil preached in the elementary chapels. During the school day on Wednesday morning, our team held a Cola War with the middle and high schoolers. Both Hudson and Aaron preached in different chapel sessions that were in between some of the game times. On Thursday night, since we had the evening off, we enjoyed watching the girls’ volleyball team play! We loved cheering them on to victory and spending time with them at Culvers afterwards. We really enjoyed meeting and developing relationships at First Baptist this week and can’t wait to see how God’s going to use His Word to help this church grow! October 10-15, 2021
Cornerstone Baptist Church Pine Island, MN Our last week in MN was at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Pine Island, MN. We loved partnering in ministry with these sweet people! We started our week of ministry on Saturday night. The men of the church had a steak and shoot out event. Aaron preached on Isaiah 2. Meanwhile back at the church, the team members had a game night with the teens. After Hudson gave a challenge, we split up and played various board games. We loved the extra time that we got to spend getting to know the teens. Throughout the week, we also had time before services with the teens in pressions- playing games and speaking truth. Sunday morning was unique in that it began with a church-wide breakfast. We loved starting our week this way since we had the opportunity to have more personal conversations and get to know the people of this church better. Sunday evening we did our Romans 8 singspiration and it was sweet to worship our God together with this congregation. After the service the church held a dessert fellowship- another time set aside to connect with these sweet people. Monday evening was a regular service and we loved the fellowship after the service. On Tuesday evening we had a ladies night. We enjoyed a fine meal which included steak, amazing sides, and fantastic dessert. We loved seeing the ladies get involved with the bingo game and listen intently as Steph spoke on Luke 19:10. It was a wonderful evening of fellowship! Wednesday we held a Family Fun Night- a fun night laughing and having fun with God’s people! Thursday night then we had an Irish concert. We especially loved how much the congregation had fun and interacted with us during the concert. Aaron then gave the Gospel and encouraged the believers there as well. Afterwards we had a pie fellowship! What a way to end a week of sweet fellowship, conversations, and ministry with these sweet people! This week was also special because we had a birthday party for Jobe and Asher. We loved being able to celebrate both of them and how much they mean to us and add to our team! October 3-8, 2021
Victory Baptist Church Rochester, MN We began our road trip with a super fun pitstop....the team stopped at the Mall of America! We loved spending time together walking around the mall, taking advantage of deals, and riding a roller coaster! Definitely made for a unique travel day! We got to Victory Baptist Church in Rochester, MN later that afternoon. We got to see many of the church people working on different projects around the church, and that was pretty neat to see! Sunday did Sunday school for the teens and for the adults followed by the morning service. We had regular services both Sunday evening, Monday night, and Wednesday night. Before the services, we did a presession with the teens to get to know them better and present truth to them. After each of the services then, we loved talking with various church members and learning about them and from them. It was a sweet time of fellowship for sure! Tuesday evening, we held a Ladies Night for the ladies at the church. We enjoyed snacking and fellowshipping together. Steph Coffey gave a challenge on Matthew 11 and how because Jesus came, we can come to Him with our burdens of our life! Thursday evening was a men’s night and Aaron challenged the men from Luke 9. Then on Friday evening we did an Irish concert and Aaron preached from Isaiah 53:6. This concert was special in that Ella and Asher stepped up to help play various instruments that we needed that night because two of our guys were out of commission. It was so sweet to see them get involved and serve this church. Not to mention, it was incredible to see God provide strength in our time of need! We loved getting to know the sweet people of this church! September 19-24, 2021
Northland Bible Baptist Church Grand Rapids, MN This week has been uniquely special. Our team has witnessed God's redirection & provision! Instead of going to the church we had planned on ministering in this week, God redirected us to Northland Bible Baptist Church in Grand Rapids, MN. It's been a blessing to have more time to work on projects & new music! God wanted us to have a special week of ministry here with these sweet people, especially last night around the campfire. We played music in worship to our Lord and testified of His work in our lives. We've also seen God's provision this week. When our plans were changed, we didn't know where to go and what housing or meals would look like. But, through what we thought was a random phone call with a pastor, God provided a place for us to stay! This property has been such a sweet blessing for team bonding which has included a team movie night, birthday parties, fishing, & daily 4-wheeler drives! God also provided all our meals this week through the generosity of His people. It's been a sweet week of seeing God take care of us! Jehovah-Jireh - "The Lord Will Provide" September 12-17, 2021
Wausau Bible Church Wausau, WI After finishing our ministry at First Baptist Church in Reed City, MI, we traveled up and over the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to Wausau, WI. On our way to Wausau, we had the opportunity to stop by Northland Camp & Conference Center to connect with friends and stay the night. It was a sweet time of rest and rejuvenation! It was also a sweet time of reflection of how we’ve seen God work there! Our week at Wausau Bible Church was definitely one of sweet fellowship. After the Sunday morning service, we had a lot of time to talk to various church members that attended the service. We even met a family who had visited for the first time that morning who ended up coming all week. What an encouragement to the church! That evening, we had a service for adults, a program for the kids, and a time with the teens. It was a great point of connecting as we got to know each group at the beginning of the week. Throughout the week, we had teen pre-sessions before the service. We played various games with them and afterwards, Hudson gave them a short challenge to encourage them in their walk with Jesus. Wednesday night was a highlight for us! It was a Family Fun Night, and this church got so involved! Family Fun Nights are always super fun when a congregation is participating and laughing together. Aaron gave a challenge that night of the importance of unity in the local church. Thursday evening we did an Irish concert. There were so many visitors that came from the community. The Gospel was clearly presented throughout the service and during Aaron’s message. In fact, at the end of the night, we found out that there was at least one profession of faith! What a way to end the week! September 26- October 1, 2021
First Baptist Church St Francis, MN After a special week of ministry in Grand Rapids, MN, we traveled down to St. Francis, MN to partner in ministry with First Baptist Church. It was a special week of ministry in that we got to see first hand the growth of this church. Because the church grew in numbers, they outgrew the auditorium, so we held our events in the gym to hold everyone! It was such a neat way for us to see how God is growing His church! On Sunday, our team began the week with Sunday School with the teens in Sunday school and Aaron with the adults. We loved being able to worship with the church on Sunday morning. On Sunday evening, we did our Romans 8 singspiration. It’s always encouraging to hear truth from this passage and have the opportunity to respond in worship to our Lord! We even had a special treat- a dear friend, Joel Albright, played cello with us for one of the songs. The Ladies Night on Monday was so sweet! The theme that the church put on was “Cookies & Cozies with the Coffey’s.” The ladies were organized in circles designed to look like a cafe which helped encourage sweet and uplifting conversations. The ladies not only enjoyed sweet conversations, but they also had the opportunity to decorate cookies and enjoy coffee, tea, and cider of course! Watching the ladies play bingo was also fun! We love seeing ladies bond over life experiences as they play together. Towards the end of the night, Steph Coffey gave a challenge on Luke 19:10 about why our Jesus came to this earth: to seek and to save the lost! Mens’ night was on Tuesday. To start off the night, the men played different yard games- like corn hole, golf chipping, axe throwing, and nerf gun shooting. Once those games outside were over, the men enjoyed a barbeque dinner and did the man quiz. Aaron then gave a challenge on Romans 5:6-8 and how Jesus came to die therefore demonstrating the greatest example of love! Throughout the week, we had the opportunity to be involved with the kids in the school. Aaron and Hudson preached in a few chapels with the middle/high school, and Phil preached in several kids’ chapels. During the day on Wednesday then, we did an all day Cola War with the middle/high school. They were split into two teams and played in several games throughout the day. There were also chapel sessions that split up the games throughout the day. Please be in prayer for these teens and the truth that they heard throughout the week will change their lives. On Wednesday night, we enjoyed doing a Family Fun Night. We especially loved seeing multiple different families come from the school. It was so much fun to see this church compete against each other and laugh together! Thursday night was our Irish Concert and another opportunity to give the good news to those who needed to hear it! We loved fellowshipping with so many church members after the concert. It was definitely a sweet way to end the week! This week was such a sweet week in that we got to connect with good friends throughout the week. We are so thankful for friends and connecting with fellow believers on the road! |
