A Week "Off"

Even though we did not have nightly meetings this past week, we stayed busy as a team throughout the week! On Sunday, April 13, we had the privilege of serving Maranatha Baptist Church in Clarkston, Michigan for both the morning and evening services. It was a blessing to gather around the Word with this church, and we enjoyed the opportunity to fellowship with Pastor Glenn Currie and his assistant pastor Joey McNally and their families.

Throughout the week, our team based out of Inter-City Baptist Church in Allen, Park, Michigan. Aaron is partnering with this church this coming summer to help with a church planting/evangelistic outreach initiative in the Detroit metro area. Jason is also going to be assisting him this summer, so this week was a great opportunity to plan for the summer and connect about the vision of this new ministry. There was a trip into the city as well as some times of sharing vision and burden for how they want to see God change Detroit with the news of the Gospel.  Please pray for the Coffeys, Jason and the rest of the people involved with “Spread the Word 2014” in Detroit this summer.

We also used this week “off” to prepare for our upcoming recording—“Hymns Renewed”. We’ve all worked hard to prepare our music for the studio and we were thankful for a week to concentrate and focus on finishing up some last minute details. Stay tuned to see our week in the studio the first week of May, as well as to hear our new recording. We’re looking forward to sharing our music with you and pray that it will be a blessing to those who hear it!
