Ashley Baptist Church (Belding, MI)

It was a joy serving with Pastor David Oliver at Ashley Baptist Church in Belding, Michigan. He has been pastoring the church for 22 years and we thank the Lord for the faithful ministry he continues to have. The church was founded in 1848 and has remained a Bible-centered church in west Michigan.

Pastor Gib Brown and his family joined the church in 2013 as assistant pastor. He has built a relationship with the area schools and works closely with kids from the community. It was awesome to canvas with him for the Cola War and see his heart for the youth. Wednesday night for the Cola War, he picked up a busload of teens to come play games and hear the Gospel. Several teens met with counselors after the message and professed faith in Christ alone. 

We were also excited to have family and friends visiting nearby. Emilee’s mom was visiting from Denver and was able to come to several services. It was great seeing her again! We loved our time at Ashley Baptist Church and were encouraged by our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
