Believers Baptist Church

After enjoying a refreshing spring break, we began our second half of the spring in Leesburg, Virginia with Pastor Ryan Vanderwarker at Believers Baptist Church. Aaron has known Pastor Ryan since college, so it was nice to reconnect with he and his wife. On Sunday night, Pastor Ryan invited our team to his house. We enjoyed catching up on some fun fellowship and delicious food together!

Throughout the week, Aaron, Jason and Brad spoke to the children and teens at Emmanuel Christian School for their chapel services. We were able to play them some music and even teach the elementary students about some of the instruments that we play. They loved hearing live music from some of the instruments that they had been learning about in their classes. Hopefully we were able to inspire some of them to practice and learn to use their talents to serve and praise the Lord.

Each evening, the service attendance grew, as more and more students and their families came to learn and hear from the Word. We were excited to see many teens that the teachers and staff had prayed for consistently come and hear the gospel. 

Wednesday afternoon, the pastors’ wives invited the girls out for a scenic drive of Leesburg, showing off all the hills and beautiful country side. They got to stop for some amazing lunch, and enjoyed the opportunity to get some fellowship and fun in with the ladies. 

Friday morning our team was able to go out to the Air and Space museum at Dulles Airport, which was a fun experience for everyone. There were so many things to see. We spent almost two hours walking around and taking in the exhibits before heading back to the church. The Irish Concert was so packed out Pastor Ryan had to add a few rows to the room! 

We are so thankful for how God worked during the week. The church family of Believers Baptist Church was such a blessing to our team, and we look forward to ministering with them again in the future.
