Community Baptist Church (Bradenton, FL)

Our week in Bradenton, Florida at Community Baptist Church was a blessing! Pastor and Mrs. Nicholson and the rest of the church and school staff were a joy to serve with. The week was jam-packed with different events and activities, and we praise God for some fruit from our labors!

Sunday night kicked off the week with a Family Fun Night in the gym. It’s always good to see God’s people having fun and laughing together. Sunday night was also a big night for the team as Dillon started our new kids program, LIGHT International. Each night, Detective Dillon reveals a clue to solve the mystery: who is the double agent? He does a great job of not only helping the kids have a good time, but also teaching them to look for evidence from the ultimate source of truth, God’s Word. The kids had a blast!
​All throughout the week, the guys preached, and the team did music for school chapels. On Monday after chapel, one girl stayed back and made a profession of faith! Each night before the services, the church provided meals for us and the church people to eat and fellowship together. We loved the time getting to know the people more. Thursday after lunch, the junior high and high school had the afternoon off classes for a special camp-like event with our team. We played lots of tub tug, don’t crack the 6-pack, tag-a-lot, and other crazy games. The week came to a close Thursday night with our Irish concert, where several made professions of faith. Friday, Pastor and Mrs. Nicholson and her brother, Alan, took the team on a kayaking tour by Lido Key Beach. It was a great way to spend the day off! (Read about it here.) Looking at God’s creation was awesome!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Community Baptist Church in Bradenton, FL with Pastor Nicholson. We are praying for lasting fruit that remains from our time with them. For more pictures, check out our Facebook page.
