Crossroads Baptist Church (Rocky Mount, NC)

​We were excited to plug in Rocky Mount in our GPS for our next week of services at Crossroads Baptist Church. This is Aaron’s hometown, and he grew up in this church before they changed locations a few years back. Our team has been to Rocky Mount a couple of times in the past few years, so the feeling of coming ‘home’ was felt by most of us. Pastor Steve Harduk welcomed our team to the church on Saturday, anticipating a great week of ministry.

Sunday was a great day of fellowship with the Crossroads family. They brought in food for lunch and after the evening service as well. And, boy, do these people know how to have a good time together! Throughout the week, we loved spending time getting to know different members of Crossroads Baptist. Aaron specifically enjoyed the time of ministry, as some of the church people were influential in his life as he grew up. It was humbling to serve those who had served him. There are faithful folks there, and it was a blessing to say “Thank You” for all the years of investment and prayers that had been poured into Aaron.
 
Praise the Lord for the great attendance at each of the services this week. Aaron's family and church family from Westview Baptist Church also came and joined us for many of the evenings. We spent most of the week teaching from the Jesus Storybook Bible, a wonderful new tool on our team that shows how Jesus is in the stories of the Old Testament as well as his life in the New Testament.
 
Thankfully in Thursday night, despite some crazy thunderstorms and threat of tornadoes, we had a great group of people come out for our Irish Concert. God brought guests for the night, and we are thankful for the opportunity to preach the gospel to them. We look forward to seeing how God continues to show Christ to  the Rocky Mount community through Crossroads Baptist Church.
 
After our time at Crossroads, we headed across town on Thursday night to Westview (Aaron and Steph’s home church) for a Family Fun Night. Last year around this time we had a Family Fun Night planned at Westview, but because of some icy weather, we were unable to meet together. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case this time! There was a great crowd and the night was such a fun night, ending in some yummy desserts! Thank you, Westview and Crossroads Baptist Church, for a great week of partnering together.
