Emmanuel Baptist Church – Winchester, VA

We enjoyed serving alongside Pastor Steve Rebert of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Winchester, VA. The church family welcomed us and graciously loved us throughout the week with wonderful food, kind fellowship and joy-filled ministry. We started off our time together with a great service on Sunday morning, followed by a family lunch at the church and then we enjoyed a short afternoon service. Ardis and Becca shared a birthday party that evening where we enjoyed food, games, and gifts!

Monday began pre-sessions for the teens, children and adults, an exciting time for us to lead into the services and help the church prepare their minds for the service. Jason led the teens in some intense games – some Pictionary, charades, human fooseball, and more! This all led up to our Cola War on Thursday night. The teens did a great job of bringing their friends to hear the Gospel that evening. We praise the Lord for the handful of salvation testimonies given throughout the week!

Thursday the team was invited to go hiking with some of the teens in the church. We went down a part of the Appalachian Trail in the Shenandoah Valley. We had a blast getting out in the warm weather and seeing a spectacular view of the valley. Friday morning we ventured into Old Town Winchester to see some of the history of the valley during the time of George Washington. There were several interesting museums and historical spots in the area. It was a great time for us.

On Friday, for our Irish Concert, the entire auditorium was packed with people! We praise God for the opportunity to share the Gospel with so many visitors. What an opportunity for Emmanuel Baptist to continue to reach out into their community, spreading the Gospel in their relationships.
