We are so thankful for the hospitality and kindness of First Baptist in Litchfield, Michigan. Pastor Brent Stille and his church were such a blessing to partner with for the week! To start off the week, Stephanie led a “Coffey Hour”, a time for women of the church to fellowship and share what God has been doing in their lives. It’s in a more relaxed setting, and the ladies enjoy some light refreshments and, of course, lots of coffee. We, Coffey Team women, love this time with the ladies of the church. The “Coffey Hour” time is a way for our team to share what God is doing in our lives as well as gleaning encouragement from fellow women of the church. It’s always a blessing!
Friday was a Wild Game Dinner outreach event. This night is geared for the men of the church to invite their hunting friends to enjoy an evening centered around the outdoors, some good food, and a Gospel message. The women at First Baptist went all out in putting the décor together, and the men did an amazing job on the food! With exotic meats like camel, alligator, kangaroo, ostrich, and buffalo along with the more common game such as bear, elk, venison, and duck, the men certainly enjoyed their night of story swapping and a good meal. Aaron shared the Gospel with the men, and the church was greatly encouraged with the visitors that came out for the event. Many of the visitors who attended were personal friends of the church men, so the Gospel message that Aaron shared was just another seed being planted in the hearts and lives of the men who visited!
Our team loved getting to know the people of First Baptist and we look forward to hearing how God is going to continue working through them in the community of Litchfield.
