First Baptist Church - Mishawaka, IN

He has risen! We were blessed to be able to spend our Easter Sunday with the people in First Baptist Mishawaka. Singing praises to our Lord with them lifted our spirits for the week of ministry. During the pre-sessions, Aaron prayed with the adults, Becca taught about the Trinity with the children, and Jason, Seth and Bree all met with the teens.

Wednesday night the church came to the Irish concert. We were glad to see the fruits of the members of First Baptist as they diligently went out inviting their friends and family to hear some music but to more importantly hear the gospel presented. We enjoyed spending time getting to know the visitors and members throughout the week.

Thursday was our Cola War with a bit of a twist. Instead of staying on the church property for the games, we walked down to a nearby park and played on the softball field. Even with all the wind and cooler temperatures, the teens all had an awesome time with our intense games! After that we walked back to the church for a time of preaching where Aaron shared the gospel and 8 people responded to the message. At least one boy asked the Lord to forgive him for his sin while still others asked great questions about the saving work of Christ. We look forward to hearing about the seeds the church continues to water in these lives.

On Friday the team each had their own adventure throughout the day. Aaron, Steph and the kids all stayed in the missions house while the trailer was getting fixed. Thursday night, Aaron and Jason left to go turkey hunting in Michigan. Seth started on a birthday scavenger hunt his fiancé Deanna set up in Mishawaka. Bree and Becca headed over to Wakarusa for the annual Maple Syrup Festival!

We are so thankful to First Baptist for their hospitality and love they showed us throughout our stay. We look forward to ministering with them again!
