It was wonderful being back at First Baptist Church in Mishawaka, IN with Pastor Pete Jones. Sunday morning, Easter Sunday, we had an incredible time worshipping our risen Savior and celebrating the new life we now have through Him. In Luke 24:5-6 the angels at the tomb say, “Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen”. What a privilege we have serving a risen Lord! After an awesome start to the week with Easter Sunday, we had several different events throughout the week. Tuesday afternoon, the team and some of the teens went canvassing for the Cola War on Thursday night. While we were in the park, we also invited several families and young kids to the family fun night on Tuesday It was so encouraging to see some of the families actually come and play the games with us and hear the Gospel! Wednesday night was our Irish Concert and several unsaved visitors came. Thursday, about 30 teens showed up for the Cola War, most of them unsaved. After lots of broom hockey, tub tug, and other crazy games, Aaron preached a Gospel message. There were several that responded with questions about the Gospel. We are praying that God continues to work in their hearts and minds and draw them to Himself. Some other highlights from the week included spending time with Pastor Pete and his family and Pastor Nate and Callie Mason. The singles on the team spent a few evenings after the service hanging out at the Mason’s house and were very encouraged by their time together. We loved being back in Mishawaka and look forward to being back again in the near future. For pictures from the week, check out our Facebook page.
