First Baptist Church (Wixom, MI)

The first signs of fall are finally appearing for us on the road. From Indiana, we drove north toward Detroit for our week of meetings at First Baptist Church of Wixom, MI, pastored by Brad Stille. The cooler weather and changing of the leaves was just starting to touch the trees, the perfect setting for a chili cookoff! As we pulled in after our travel day, we were invited to sample a handful of different chili recipes and vote for the winning bowl of chili. This is one competition we were very ready to judge!

Our week was full of different outreach events--intending to focus attention on bringing guests to a men’s night on Monday, a ladies’ night on Tuesday and an Irish Concert. We closed out the week with an outreach event for the teenagers! We had guests come out to each night, and we praise the Lord for the seeds that were planted in the hearts of those who attended.
 
Each morning, Matt, Aaron and Brad preached to the students of Wixom Christian School. We spent time with the high schoolers, encouraging them to bring friends to the Cola War on Thursday. Wednesday afternoon we went canvassing with the teens, helping them take the steps to invite kids from the community to the event to hear about Jesus. And when the Cola War came, we were excited about the number of teens who showed up.
 
We are praising the Lord for the great week of ministry we were able to have with First Baptist Church. It was a blessing to serve alongside of them with the Gospel! What a privilege. Thank you, First Baptist of Wixom, for your love of Christ!
