First Baptist (West Terre Haute, IN)

To start our week at First Baptist West Terre Haute, Indiana, we introduced a couple of our Irish songs at the church's Thanksgiving feast on Saturday night. There was a great turnout as Aaron challenged us all on rejoicing in all things…at all times. Saturday night was the beginning of a week full of well-attended meetings.

And Saturday was the first of many feasts we would have throughout the week! The members of First Baptist were determined to stuff us full every day for lunch. We loved getting to know so many people of the church through their service in providing us meals. One of the more memorable things provided was the famous "square donut" of West Terre Haute that Pastor Jeff Augustus brought for the team to enjoy.

We ended the week out with an Irish concert on Friday night, but this was just the beginning of a crazy weekend for the Coffey team. After our last official week of meetings in West Terre Haute, we visited two churches on Sunday with a concert in each church. In the morning we were at Trinity Baptist Church in Westfield, Indiana. That evening we had a Thanksgiving feast with Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Indianapolis, followed by our last concert of the semester.

Now the team is on break, spending time with family and resting up to start the new year strong. We ask that you would continue to pray for us that God would continue to use us in our own churches and around our friends and family back home during the holidays. We desire for Him to continue to change us over the holidays as we serve Him at home. Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year!
