Grace Baptist Church Farmington, NM After a long trip from Mountain Home, AR, we arrived at Grace Baptist Church in Farmington, NM on Saturday, January 22. We had so many neat ministry opportunities this week! We had regular services Sunday through Tuesday. We enjoyed the conversations that we had before and after services. In fact, before the services, we had pre-sessions for all ages. Aaron spoke to the adults, Hudson spoke to the teens, and Steph Coffey and Steph Wright spoke to the kids. It was a sweet way to connect with each age group before the service and share truths from God’s Word. Multiple times throughout the week, we also had various touch points with the school kids. Some of the guys on the team got to speak in school chapels. On Monday, Phil spoke to the elementary kids. Then Monday through Thursday, Aaron and Hudson alternated speaking to the high schoolers. We always love being able to interact with kids in a Christian school attached to a church we’re serving in. We also had a very unique opportunity to serve with the youth group. On Wednesday afternoon, some of the team members went along with the teens and Pastor Adam to volunteer at a local food bank. It was not only a sweet time to get to serve alongside the teens, but also to give back to the local community there in Farmington. After the food bank, we held a Cola War back at the church. We loved spending more time with these teens, watching them play hard, and encouraging them spiritually. As for services for the last two evenings at Grace Baptist, we did a Family Fun Night and an Irish Concert. It was fun to watch this church family participate in Family Fun Night because we see a church family have fun and laugh together. Irish Concerts are always special too, because we love seeing church people invite others to hear the good news of the Gospel! It was a blessing to be with the people of Grace Baptist Church. On Tuesday afternoon, we had the special treat to go with Pastor Adam to visit some Aztec ruins and drive to Durango, CO. It was a wonderful afternoon to spend together seeing ruins from the past, and see God’s beautiful creative hand!
