Grace Baptist Church (Birmingham, MI)

The people of Grace Baptist Church in Birmingham were an encouragement to us all during our week of ministry together. Pastor Craig Hurley and his ministry with Grace Baptist Church and Grace Bible Institute have been a constant source of outreach to not only their own people but those of different churches throughout the area. Each Tuesday night, the Institute teaches close to 100 individuals throughout the day in classes taught by pastors and laymen from all over the Detroit metro area. We enjoyed seeing their special ministry through Bible education.

That week, we celebrated yet another birthday. (September and early October has a stretch of 5 birthdays!) Ella’s birthday party was a great success! We all laughed and had a wonderful time celebrating her special day. Even some of the church people gave her gifts! After pizza, a piñata cake that had lots of candy inside to surprise the kids, presents and words of gratitude for her, we played a game of hide and seek in a house the church owns next to where the Coffey’s trailer was parked.

The people’s love for our team was demonstrated to us all week. We are so thankful for the people who prepared meals for us, spent their time getting to know each of us, taken the kids to a nearby park, and shown us around parts of downtown Detroit. Thank you for your love and kindness to us throughout this week!
