Independent Baptist Church (Bolingbrook, IL)

It was a joy to serve at Independent Baptist Church in Bolingbrook, Illinois. We enjoyed the fellowship with Pastor Shoaf and the people of the church. They welcomed our team, and we enjoyed staying long after the service to talk. There were many who opened themselves up to us in individual conversations, and we appreciated their desire to share what God was doing in their lives.

To start the week off in our ministry, we were able to connect with the teens in a dodge ball open gym they held at a community center close by. The rest of the week, Jason held pre-sessions for the teens, while Bree taught the children, and Aaron led the adults. The “Secret Keepers” program was large this week with more than 60 children consistently throughout the week. There was also a wonderful attendance throughout the week in the main services, and we praise the Lord for His Word changing the lives of those who were able to come out to the services!

Friday Pastor Jack took our team into downtown Chicago! We had a fabulous time going to Millennial Park to take pictures in front of the Bean. We made our way to Giordano’s for some amazing deep-dish Chicago pizza. The Coffey family split off to do some things as a family, while the team went on a boat tour that explained the history of Chicago architecture. What a fun way to spend our day off together—in Chicago!
