![]() We are so thankful for our time at Lifeway Baptist Church this past week! We have been there many times in the past, and we were looking forward to being with them again. Pastor Steve VonBokern and his wife Melinda are good friends of the Coffeys, so it was a joy to serve with friends this week. After the Sunday morning service, praising God together with brothers and sisters in Christ, we joined Lifeway for a fellowship meal in their gym. There was so much amazing food. We had such a great time catching up with old friends and talking with the people of Lifeway. We loved hearing what God is doing in their church over the past couple of years and looked forward to joining in with their ministry over the course of the week.
Sunday night we began our nightly Amazing Grace Race program with the children. What a group! These kids loved every minute of the games, the stories, and the teaching of God’s Word. The teens also had a fun time in the pre-session with Matt as he challenged them to take the next step in their spiritual walk. When it comes to getting involved, these teens gave everything they had. We loved not only having fun with them, but having meaningful conversations with them outside of the pre-session and Cola War about what God is doing in their lives. Wednesday night was one of our favorite programs we offer on the road, a Family Fun Night! We moved all of our equipment to the gym to set everything up for a night filled with craziness. Lifeway came ready to have a good time as Pastor Steve and Pastor Doug Stewart led the red and blue teams during the night. They did a great job, and everyone had a great time. After a day off on Thursday. the team explored Bloomington with Rosh Dhanawade and Shelley Qian. They took us on a tour of Indiana University for the afternoon. We met up with the teens at 5:30 to begin our Cola War. We had over forty teens show up, and most of them were visitors to the church! The teens did a great job bringing their friends, so they could hear about Jesus. That night four teens raised their hands with questions about salvation. From the week. we heard that seven people made professions of faith in Christ! We loved being with Lifeway and seeing God’s grace in them. We look forward to seeing you all again in the future, Lord willing!
