Sportsmen's Dinner Weekend

​A few weekends ago, Aaron was asked to preach in a couple different places for an evangelistic outreach that hits right down his alley—hunting and fishing. He has the opportunity to share the Gospel at two different Sportsmen’s Dinners. The focus of this night is to have men invite their hunting and fishing buddies to come and eat a banquet quality array of meat, meat and more meat. The pastors of Faith Baptist Church in Davison, Michigan have been holding one of these dinners for several years now, and it has really grown to have quite the reputation in their community. As soon as tickets went on sale, they sold out the allotted tickets in just a few hours!

The men all brought their taxidermy to show off, and companies offered to sponsor the event. They gave away guns, clothing and other man toys at the dinner. All of this for the sake of the gospel! Hundreds of hunters, fishermen and outdoorsmen came to this event, and Aaron preached a gospel message. We love what Faith is doing in their community, building relationships and demonstrating their love to their friends and coworkers.
 
Saturday evening Aaron went over to Calvary Baptist Church in Charlotte, Michigan to preach at another Sportsmen’s Dinner. This was their second time putting on this type of outreach, and it was very well-attended.
 
It is such a blessing for Aaron to use two things that he loves—hunting and fishing—as a bridge to share the Gospel with so many unbelievers. There were many who indicated that they had trusted Christ at both events, and we are praising the Lord for tender hearts towards the Truth of the Gospel! We are praying that God will continue to build both of these churches and strengthen new believers.
