At the start of each semester, we welcome in the new faces and the continuing blessings God brings to our team. Brad Wiggs and Ardis Chetta are joining us this year. Brad will be taking over our children’s program and Ardis will be covering the resources ministry and assisting with our music. Get to know them on our About Us page. We were also excited to have Seth Peterson back with us for two weeks to help us with our music and transitioning some different ministry roles to some of our team members.
Our team met up in Findlay, Ohio to begin our fall of ministry together. We worked on music for the first several days, and also helped Calvary Baptist Church at their booth that they set up at the Hancock County Fair. We were able to have some great Gospel conversations and invite those who stopped by to their upcoming community picnic in a few weeks. There were also two opportunities for us to do some sacred music at the Gospel Pavilion. Aaron shared the Gospel between songs, and we pray that the seeds of truth planted in those who were listening will bear fruit. While we were at the fair, we, of course, managed to grab a funnel cake or two!
Calvary Baptist was gracious to allow us to minister in their church on Sunday before we went out with Heritage Christian School to their school camp from Tuesday to Friday. We loved getting to spend time with the students and teachers alike. Even though we were busy learning music and training the team in various aspects of Coffey Ministries, we enjoyed the opportunity to interact and serve with such a sweet student body and its leadership. When we weren’t in team training, the students challenged our team in ping-pong, fooseball, and air hockey tournaments—ending in some humiliating losses (even to the teachers).
