As the semester winds down, God continues to work in the churches that He has led us to. Pastor Daniel Minton of Trinity Baptist Church in Westfield, Indiana invited us to participate in a flag football outreach on the Saturday before the week began. There were many men that came to play in the Gridiron Games while their families played volleyball, corn hole and ate a lunch together. The members of Trinity invited many coworkers and friends to the outreach, and it was exciting to see many guests come enjoy themselves, interact with the church, and be on the church property.
Sunday morning, some of the guests from the football outreach came to the service. One of the men trusted Christ for salvation after the service. What a way to begin the week! Sunday afternoon at Trinity was an early in the week Irish Concert after a potluck lunch with the church. Each night, to make the nightly services more stress-free for busy families, the ladies of Trinity provided dinner for the whole church. This helped families to be able to come and enjoy fellowship with one another before coming together around the Word. It was a joy to get extra time with the church folks throughout the week before each service. We were encouraged by the people's love for one another and love for the Word!
Before the services on Monday and Tuesday nights, the teens all gathered to play some games and be challenged in the Word. This led up to our Cola War on Wednesday night, did these teens love it! They were so into the games and even with a bit of a colder evening, they played hard until the sun set. We then went inside to eat with the rest of the church before a Family Fun Night! The action packed evening all culminated in Aaron sharing the Word. We pray along with Trinity that the seeds of the Word would continue to work and bear fruit in the those who heard it.
