This past month our team was down in Florida with Faith Baptist church in Titusville and Grace Baptist Church of Vero Beach. We love getting to be where it’s warm during the winter months!
It was so sweet to be back with the people of Faith Baptist Church in Titusville. We pushed hard on Tuesday with the teens to invite people to the Cola Wars on Wednesday evening. One of the churches close by brought several teens and a few teens showed up from the nearby schools. The games were exciting, and the teens had a blast. What was so awesome to see was that many teens responded after hearing the gospel message. What a blessing to proclaim the Good News and see God save people for His glory!
It was the Friday of this week that Aaron had his accident and our traveling plans were put on hold. Stephanie and Aaron spent two nights in the hospital while the team watched the Coffey kids. We could spend so much time here recounting the ways in which God graciously lined up the details to bring Himself glory. It “just so happened” that the following week of meetings was just an hour and a half away. This made it possible for their trailer to remain in Titusville, so that the Coffeys and the team could commute to and from Vero Beach when needed. The two older Coffey kids were able to stay on track with school, Riley stood in the gap preaching to the adults, Mitchell covered for Riley in the teen program, and altogether the team pulled off a week of meetings largely without Aaron, which allowed him to rest. If it was never clear before how desperately we need God, it had been made so sweetly clear to us now and what a tremendous blessing this is.
So our week in Vero Beach looked only vaguely like we planned for it to, but nonetheless it was the week God intended for us and for the people of Grace Baptist Church of Vero Beach.
Thank you Faith and Grace Baptist for allowing our team to partner with you this past month. Thank you for being faithful and for being so gracious to our family and our team.
