We crossed the Mason-Dixon line for the first time this semester as we left Old Virginia for Reading, PA. On Monday evening, we had a men’s night--“Meat and Meet”--where men from the church provided sumptuous morsels of meaty goodness preceded by a riveting game of 9-square. We had around 60 men in attendance with a number of visitors. Aaron preached a gospel message and 4 men/boys indicated they had accepted Christ as their Savior from their sin! Overall there around 8 professions of faith! Praise the Lord! Pastor Conover was very excited to begin long-term discipleship. Please pray for both those who made decisions to follow Jesus, as well as the church family at Victory Baptist Church. We had regular services on Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by an Irish Concert on Thursday, and a Cola War on Friday night. It was encouraging to see the church family faithfully come out each night and invite the community for the services. We had a full house for the Irish Concert and around 50 teens for the Cola War the next night. Pastor Conover’s dad is at an assisted living facility, and many of the people who live there, along with their caretakers, attended the evening. One of the ladies who came to help with the elderly guests trusted Christ as her Lord and Savior! There were also some other guests who attended that the church has specifically been praying for.
